In a world of throwaway, mass production, British Silverware stands as a testament to timeless craftsmanship.
With a history spanning more than two centuries, the Sheffield-based company has cultivated a global reputation for producing the finest quality silverware.
British Silverware’s workshops are home to a team of skilled craftspeople who have honed their expertise in the art of silverware creation. But their online presence wasn’t exactly shining as brightly as their products, and MD Jackie Tear knew it was time to change that:
‘We were in urgent need of a new website that would not only showcase our exquisite products but also tell the story of the skilled artisans who bring them to life.’
To align its digital presence with its illustrious heritage, British Silverware embarked on a comprehensive website overhaul.
I was brought on board to help British Silverware tell their story, transforming their rich history and incredible craftsmanship into words that would captivate their audience.
Spending time with the team was eye-opening, and it was great to have the opportunity to understand and appreciate the dedication and skill that they pour into each unique piece. Their passion was infectious, and it was my job to capture that spirit in words.
Working alongside the brilliant design team at Backroom Agency and the talented photographer Andy Gallagher, we created a digital world that matched the elegance of British Silverware. We wanted to showcase their heritage, their modern edge, and the sheer artistry that goes into every piece.
And what a time to launch! As the website was taking shape, British Silverware was chosen to create the ultimate farewell gift for Liverpool legend, Jürgen Klopp. It was a perfect match – a brand at the top of its game, creating a trophy set worthy of a football icon.
The new website is more than just a showcase. By combining stunning visuals with compelling copy, we’ve created a digital experience that matches the exceptional quality of British Silverware’s products.
As part of this project, we also produced a social media content plan, revamped their social profiles, and created a series of posts. So, as well as a brand-new website, they also have a platform where the story of British Silverware can continue to unfold, chapter by chapter.
Following the launch, Jackie commented:
‘The new website perfectly captures the essence of our brand, showcasing our stunning pieces in a way that’s both visually appealing and informative. It not only highlights our rich heritage but also positions us for future growth.’
